Kathleen Kennedy Announces Three New Star Wars Celebration Films Exploring the Past, Present and future of the franchise.

There were doubts (and some fear) about what would be presented at Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase of Star Wars Celebration Europe in London this weekend but, Luckily for everyone, The joy among the attending fans has skyrocketed with the announcement ofthree new Star Wars films that will tell us about the past, The present and future of the saga.

"I imagine a lot of people in this room are waiting to hear us say something about what we're doing with the Star Wars movies.", mentioned a proud Kathleen Kennedy after the obvious review of the Star Wars series. "We are very excited to share with you today some news.. As you can see with all the series we are doing, estamos abarcando muchas etapas diferentes,is a response to what George Lucas said a few years ago, about him creating Star Wars to move back and forth in the timeline of his mythology.“.

Now we are going to take care of that timeline by providing a rich future., expanding into the present, Going deep into the past to tell our stories“, has added while on the screen was an interesting timeline. "We are excited to have some of the best and most passionate filmmakers on projects that will expand on the past., The present and the future. It's still too early, But we've invited some of the directors to join us today.".

The past according to James Mangold: the first Jedi

James is going to take us to the most remote past to tell you the story of the first Jediand how their power set them free in a time of chaos and oppression.", Kennedy stresses.

James Mangold, responsible for jewels such as 'Copland' (1997), 'Innocence Interrupted' (1999), 'Logan' (2017) and 'Le Mans '66' (2019) seems to have convinced the president of Lucasfilm with the result of her latest work, the imminent 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' (2023).

"When I started talking to Kathleen about making one of these films, what occurred to me was to think about what kind of genre film within Star Wars.I'd like to do and I thought of a kind of biblical epic like 'The Ten Commandments'to see the dawn of the Force", explains the director. "Where does the strength come from? When did we discover it? When did we know how to use it? The story began to unfold and with the wonderful help of all the brilliant Canaanites and the historians of Star Wars and its timeline we came up with a kind of incredible story with which to tell the dawn of the force. 25.000 years before this guy made us appear. So it's an exciting story and I can't wait to tell it.".

The present according to Dave Filoni: the embers of Empire

"Expanding our present, Dave Filoni will orchestrate the war between what remains of the Empire and the New Republic, together with producer Jon Favreau will make many of the threats of our series are in that cinematic event that we promise you", presents Kennedy.

Dave Filoni is the fan-favorite Star Wars scholar. To him we owe 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' and 'Star Wars Rebels' the best animated series of the franchise, and without him Jon Favreau would not have had it so easy with 'The Mandalorian'. Together he has produced and created all three seasons., 'The Book of Boba Fett' and, already with Filoni at the head, this summer we will enjoy 'Ahsoka'.

I'm excited, I'm going to make a movie!" Filoni, Already with the audience on its feet, He continues: "We look at everything, in the old and in new things that were created while we were thinking about this and we are putting them all together.. Let's do in an epic battle that takes place, desafortunadamente para nuestros héroes después,after 'Return of the Jedi' and just before 'The Force Awakens'“.

The Future According to Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy: The New Jedi Order

"Looking to the future, 15 years after the events of 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker', Sharmeen will tell us the story of the reconstruction of the new Jedi Order and the powers it awakens“.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, winner of two Oscars for her short documentaries 'Saving Face' (2011) and 'A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness' (2015), and responsible for different chapters of 'Ms. Marvel', will be responsible for this complicated task.

"I've always been drawn to the hero's journey and the fact that the world needs many more heroes.", Explains. "The shots of the heroes we see on screen are linked to real life., And I've spent much of my life meeting real heroes who are oppressed., redeemed and victorious in the face of impossible struggles. Creo que eso es el corazón de Star Wars,it's what drew me to the promise of the New Jedi Order and immersing myself in a Jedi academy with a powerful Jedi teacher.“.

That's when the 4500 Attendees witnessed the mysterious Jedi Master who, for the joy of good people, it turned out that Daisy Ridley returns to Star Wars, that is to say, King, the character we met in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' (J.J. Abrams, 2015), we saw growing up in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' (Rian Johnson), 2017) and from which we said goodbye as we could in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' (J.J. Abrams, 2019).
